Shay Grinfeld, CEO of Skyfarm Strategic Capital, is an experienced entrepreneur and a passionate sustainability advocate and investor. He oversees Skyfarm’s strategic direction, investments and asset management, bringing to bear over 15 years’ experience in building and leading companies. Shay has repeated success in converting superior technology ideas into profitable commercial ventures by leveraging expertise in product and market development — and by motivating superior management teams to achieve superior results.
While overseeing the vision and operations of Skyfarm, Shay also serves as CEO of Florida LNG Group (FLiNG), the premier provider of merchant liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Florida and the Caribbean. He is also managing director at Thylacine Capital, an investment firm with a focus on the energy sector. Shay was previously a partner in Greenfield Cities, an investment firm focused on renewable energy and sustainable technologies. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Corporate and Business Development at WebCollage, Inc., a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company in vertical online advertising (sold to: Answers Corporation). Previously, Shay was CEO of e-Glue USA, Inc., a CRM software company (sold to Nasdaq: NICE). Before that, Shay was Vice President of Product Development at Alfy, a media company focusing on children’s online educational games.
Before arriving to the U.S, Shay served in the Israeli Air Force for nine years as an F-16 combat pilot. His service included overseeing a fighter-pilot instructor course, leading a strategic, methodological change in instruction philosophy, and spearheading a major turnaround in simulator technology. Shay was also among only four pilots selected to fly in the Israeli “Blue Angels.” Shay holds a B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an Executive MBA from Columbia University School of Business.
