David Powers has been a leader and catalyst of regional growth and community redevelopment in the Indiantown area. His initiatives were key to Indiantown becoming a Florida Enterprise Zone, which has brought new businesses and job formation to the area. He has helped bring new medical services to Indiantown; overseen commercial and residential developments; and prompted affordable housing initiatives, among other efforts to better the Indiantown community. David, together with his brothers, and a partner, also spearheaded the area concept of “permit-ready industrial development,” which is now a cornerstone of Florida Commerce Park. In David’s role as Director of Operations and Community Redevelopment for the park, he brings his breadth of community-service skills and socially responsibility mindset, along with a depth of management expertise, to its operations.
David is also a principal and co-founder of Indiantown Realty, which is involved in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate sales, development and leasing. Among the firm’s accomplishments is the largest residential community development in Martin County in over two decades.
David Powers serves as Chairman of the Indiantown Enterprise Zone, is on the board of the Business Development Board of Martin County, and is Chairman of Indiantown Non-Profit Housing, Inc. He received a B.S. in Business Administration from Florida’s St. Leo University.
